Service Academies
United States Service Academies require that applicants:

Be at least 17 years old but not have passed your 23rd birthday as of July 1st of the year of acceptance.

Be a U.S. citizen on the day of admission.

Be unmarried, not pregnant, and have no obligation to support children or other dependents.

Be in good health and physical condition (the academies require a physical before acceptance).

Service Academy Nominations
In addition to regular college admissions requirements and items listed above, candidates for U.S. Service academies must receive a congressional letter of recommendation (nomination).
Nomination options for Severna Park High School students are listed below.
IMPORTANT: Please find your representative using your home address. Most SPHS students' U.S. Representative will be John Sarbanes (District 3) but it will differ if you live outside of District 3. It is the student's responsibility to confirm.
