Office of School Registrar

The Registrar's Office, located within the Counseling Center, is responsible for: transcript requests, enrollment and withdrawal of students, as well as the maintenance of academic records.

New Student Registration

Please use the AACPS Locate Your School tool first to be sure your address is zoned for Severna Park High School.

Once you are ready to enroll, please follow next steps here.

Student Withdraw/Transfer

You must first clear all of your obligations (textbooks, fees, Chromebook) with Mrs. Koester, SPHS financial secretary, prior to the withdrawal. Mrs. Koester can be reached at 410.544.0900 ext. 8389.

 

Fill out a Withdrawal Form and return it to Jaclyn Besche. Mrs. Besche will then prepare a Transfer Packet which will include the following information: Official transcript, grades, class schedule, test scores, attendance data, discipline data, birth certificate, & immunization records.

Please allow a minimum of 3-5 business days for processing time during peak summer hours.

Transcript Requests

Seniors: All official transcripts for current seniors' college applications must be requested in Naviance.  Instructions can be found in The College Application Guide

 

Students AND Parents must complete an electronic Transcript Release Form in PowerSchool/Parent Portal prior to requesting your transcript in Naviance.  Allow 24 business hours for your Transcript Release Form to be processed by the SPHS Counseling Center before official requesting transcripts in Naviance.

Current 9th - 11th Grade: Complete a Transcript/Records Request form and send to Mrs. Besche for processing.  Allow 3-5 business days to process your request.

Alumni Records

Duplicate Diplomas

Alumni Transcripts: All alumni (Class of 2024 and prior) transcripts will be requested and sent via Parchment. 

​

Alumni simply request a transcript and designate the academic institution, organization or individual that they would like to receive it. Users will be notified when their request is complete and can also track the status of their request or view a saved copy of their transcript. 

​

Alumni will pay $8 per transcript, or more depending on how the alumni want it sent; although in the rare circumstance that the desired recipient does not accept electronic delivery and your transcript must be mailed, there will be an additional charge of $2.50.  All fees are to be paid directly to Parchment.
 

Enrollment Verification Requests: All requests for enrollment verification will be requested and sent via Parchment.  Alumni will pay $20 per enrollment verification.  All fees are to be paid directly to Parchment.

Duplicate Diplomas: You may request a duplicate diploma directly from printer Herff Jones using this form.  Please note that you must first obtain an official high school transcript before submitting your Duplicate Diploma request.

MVA & Work Permits

Work Permit Online​

 

Work permits for minors are completed electronically by the student and parent through the State of Maryland.  Nothing needs to be completed by your high school.

MVA Learner's Permit

 

The MVA Learner's Permit form is required for any student applying for a Maryland Learner's Permit that is under 16 years old.
Students and parents, please complete section A of the MVA Learner's Permit School Attendance Form in pen and bring it to the Counseling Center for completion.
Allow 24 business hours for processing.
