TRAVEL:  
How far away is it?  

Accessible easily by plane, train, or car?

Consider you may be traveling during holidays when everyone else is too.  Can be costly & lots of traffic.

COST:

How much does tuition, books, room & board cost?  Remember to add in travel home, extra curricular, cost of living in the town.

 

LOCATION: 

Are there things to do outside of the college campus?

Is there a town or city?

Is the town or city walkable?

Is the area a place you could see yourself exploring?

 

SIZE:

SPHS is about 2000 - use that as your gauge.  Do you want smaller, similar or larger?  Do you learn best in small classes?

CAMPUS LIFE:

What is there to do on campus?

Are there clubs & organizations you want to try?

Is school spirit important?

Are sporting events important?

MAJORS:

Do they have majors/minors in what you want to study?

Can you change your major(s)?  

Do they have a variety of areas of study?

REMEMBER this will be your home for 4+ years & you will do more than go to class. Make sure you can "see" yourself living there.
